The City of Clewiston boat ramps are minutes away from U.S. Highway 27. Turn north on Francisco Street, then left at Hoover Dike Road.  There are four ramps and two floating docks in the lagoon on Hoover Dike Road with access to Lake Okeechobee.

Boat Ramps

The boat ramp features:

  • Free launching and parking
  • Concrete ramps
  • Clean restrooms
  • Lighted ramps and parking lot
  • Plenty of maneuvering room
  • 40 parking spaces
  • Overflow parking directly across the road
  • Camping facilities are close-by

Clewiston Boat Ramps

Be sure to read the boat ramp rules before launching your boat.

The ramp area is rarely crowded; that is, unless one of the twenty plus professional tournaments is being held in Clewiston.  The good news is that seconds away and over the levee along the Rim Canal is another ramp with ten parking spaces and more parking on top of the levee, and direct access to lake Okeechobee.

You can picnic along the Rim Canal and watch the boats cruise by. To the west along the Rim Canal, covered tables and benches with grills are provided for picnickers.

While there are no gas facilities at either ramp site, there are three marinas inside the locks that can provide fuel, tackle, food, and guide service.
