Community Development

Our department is dedicated to providing customer service that exceeds your expectations. We are here to serve the public by issuing permits for all new construction, additions, remodels, renovations, service equipment change outs, and construction in general. It is always wise to contact the Building Department for permitting requirements prior to beginning any new building projects.

Mission: To administer and enforce the city's land development & building construction regulations, the Florida Building Code, and the preparation and implementation of the City's Comprehensive Plan.

Department Functions:

• Building inspections

• Issuance of building permits

• Issuance of certificates of occupancy

• Review of construction plans for permitting

We use a third party reviewer and inspection company called CAP Government.
