James "Jimmy" Pittman has been a dedicated public servant and community leader in the City of Clewiston for over 20 years. His commitment to the city is evident through his years of service on the City Commission, where he held various leadership roles, including Recreation Commissioner, Public Works Commissioner, and Utilities Commissioner. Most recently, he is currently serving as the Mayor of Clewiston for the past two years, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for progress to the role. His leadership has focused on sustainable growth, infrastructure improvements, and increasing commerce to support the local economy.

Beyond his contributions to local government, Jimmy has also been a dedicated volunteer firefighter for the Clewiston Fire Department for the past 30 years. His service in this role reflects his deep-rooted commitment to the safety and well-being of Clewiston’s residents. Additionally, he is an active board member of the Everglades Federal Credit Union, where he helps oversee financial services that benefit the community. His extensive service history has allowed him to develop a unique perspective on the needs of Clewiston and its citizens.

Jimmy’s dedication to his faith and family is equally impressive. He is the pastor of Real-Life Church Clewiston, where he leads with compassion and a strong moral foundation. He and his wife, Paula Youngblood Pittman, have been married for 45 years and have raised three daughters in Clewiston. Their family has grown to include four beautiful grandchildren, further strengthening Jimmy’s resolve to build a better future for the next generations. His personal and professional life are deeply intertwined with the community, reinforcing his commitment to the city's prosperity.

His community involvement extends beyond his public service roles. Jimmy has been a board member for Clewiston Christian School and an active member of the Clewiston Chamber of Commerce, previously serving as a director. He has also worked closely with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as a Huddle Leader and served on the Heartland FCA Board of Directors. His leadership experience also includes serving on the Board of Supervisors for the Clewiston Drainage District from 1997 to 2014, where he contributed to vital infrastructure planning for the city.

With deep roots in Clewiston, Jimmy remains steadfast in his commitment to its growth and prosperity. As a lifelong resident and business owner, he understands the challenges and opportunities facing the city. His experience, vision, and leadership make him uniquely qualified to continue serving on the City Commission. He continues to work towards positive changes, bringing transparency, accountability, and innovation to local government.
