Fire Department Training Requirements

The following classes are required by ALL Clewiston Fire Department personnel

ALL THE FEMA COURSES BELOW REQUIRE A FEMA STUDENT ID (SID) 

• ICS 100 - FEMA - Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Course | IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100

• ICS 200 - FEMA - Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Course | IS-200.C: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, ICS-200

• NIMS 700 - FEMA - Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Course | IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System

• NIMS 800 - FEMA - Emergency Management Institute (EMI) Course | IS-800.D: National Response Framework, An Introduction

Other required classes:

• Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)/First Responder

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Firefighter I/Firefighter II standards

The following classes are required for Clewiston Fire Dept Officers in addition to the above

• ICS 300 (Multi-day)

• ICS 400 (Multi-day)

• Company Officer
